Interesting things I saw this week - 15
This week I tinkered with my laptop’s graphic configuration, I messed up and had to spent a day working inside a tty, fortunately I am an avid terminal user and could live without a graphical interface and also the same day, albeit almost at midnight, I could fix the problem. Now I can use the Nvidia graphics card that came with my laptop and can peek into the PC master race lifestyle.
Also this week is the 15th week in a row that I blog, not bad.
[video] Republicans FINALLY Support Masks MONTHS Too Late - TechNewsDay
Skip to minute 21:00 until 28:00 for the most interesting part.
A quick reminder that the internet as a whole is a privacy nightmare. In the video Phil talks about how the new iOS 14 exposed that a lot of apps copy the content of your clipboard when you use them (and some even if you aren’t currently using them). He also mentions how universal clipboard is makes the potential privacy concerns even worse and also some other problems with facial recognition software.
[video] The Stock Market is EASY MONEY _ DO THIS NOW
An entertaining video about how current events have sparked a wave of gambling disguised as investing.
Here Graham Stephan shows a few news headlines about how people are buying stocks of bankrupt companies hoping to make profits and how some of those people have succeeded in doing so. He also mentions how that way of buying stocks is more gambling than investing and how you should avoid following those steps thinking that you will make money. Never gamble money you can’t afford to lose.
[video] How to Finish What You Start
A video about how limitations can improve one’s ability to complete a project one starts.
It gives a few tips about the best ways to impose limitations on a project in order to better the likelihood of completing the project, as too much choice can lead to what is called “analysis paralysis”.
[music] [youtube] [bandcamp] Windows彡96 : Gradient Horizont

Windows彡96 is one of the bigger names in the vaporwave space, this album is a perfect example of what vaporwave can be, melancholic yet optimistic, completely sample-free yet still vaporwave. 4th and 5th tracks are my favourite from this album. Truly worth your time.
